^ When you have decided on the home you want to buy, new or old, modest or lavish, house or condominium, each property presents its own questions to YOU, the prospective buyer.

^ While municipalities require certain components of new buildings to be inspected, many questions will remain. In older structures, buyers are often unsure of what systems are in good working order, up to date or even functioning.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

^ Questions may arise as to how old or worn a roof is, why a basement is damp, is there rotted wood, is there any insulation in the walls or is the electricity properly grounded. Whether a house or apartment building is old or new, there are always uncertainties and questions which we wish someone could provide the answers to.

^ It is the HOME INSPECTOR who fulfills this wish. The HOME INSPECTOR performs a visual inspection of the dwelling. While we can't see inside the walls, we have the knowledge that most people do not possess to assess systems, and examine the structure from the foundation to the roof.

^ We follow hints that lead to water damage and gauge the age of older components. We name all the materials used in the construction, check for leaks, operate the systems, climb on the roof when necessary, examine the chimneys and fireplaces and open and close all the windows and doors. We provide YOU with what you need to know to maintain the operational integrity of this structure YOU WANT TO MAKE YOUR HOME.

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

^ AND WE WRITE IT ALL in a report...from the closet door that sticks to the roof that leaks. It is e-mailed to you within 24 hours, often the same day, and a hard copy is mailed to you the next day.

^ Inspections generally take between 2 and 4 hours depending upon the age and size of the building, and whether there are any outbuildings to be inspected.

^ During the inspection, the following are inspected:

  • Exterior & Roof
  • Structure & Basement
  • Heating & Air Conditioning
  • Electrical & Plumbing
  • Interior/Attic/Insulation
